Why Do They Indulge This Fantasy?
Bruce McQuain links an item at The Huffington Post, in which an attempt is made to rehearse "limited government functions" on which conservatives and liberals could agree.
The very first item on the list is "the rule of law", and I now observe that my challenge in the comments at QandO still stands.
Here is my basic contempt: there is not one productive moment in the world to be gained from this sort of discussion of something that does not exist.
At this point, my interest is reserved for the question of how so many otherwise intelligent people permit themselves indulgence of this utter nonsense.
