Clowning Buckley
"In commentary in the New York Daily News of March 11, 1982, shortly after Rand's death, Buckley revealed a petulance that cloaked his malice for her and for reason:..."Edward Cline buries an Objectivist hatchet in Buckley's head. I completely agree. The National Review's handling of Rand was thoroughly disgraceful from one end to the other, and Buckley was extremely foolish, at the very best, about all of it.
Properly understood, he was a great deal of a clown.
