The Thing That Wouldn't Work
In commentary here, on the matter of the spare leg at the Alfred P. Murrah Building, we're assured that ineffectual routine is the natural way of criminal investigation. There would evidently be nothing un-toward about a videotape turning up nine years after Oklahoma City, and the question never seems to quite bubble up: is there any level of taxation that could get to the bottom of a case like this without getting in its own way?
